Naps and Novels

Naps and novels,
Occupy my time,
Sleeping or reading,
It's not considered a crime.

Man kills rats,
And man kills man,
The nuclear bomb,
Won't give you a tan.

Off to ancient melody,
Songs through soul and heart,
Through the sands of timeless beauty.

And the puzzles buzz,
Inside all of our little heads,
Do we really know anything?
And is this even bad?

Pay close attention,
To those smaller things first,
Because the oceans and seas,
Cannot quench any thirst.

A look at creation,
As a brilliant wonderful start,
Can be seen by all the senses,
Of the man known as Descartes.
