Aesop

The poet takes control,
And says what he wishes,
Writing down phrases,
Of the secret lives of fishes.

It's a word army that fights,
To say and then recite,
Cannons of power,
Winning the war in the fight.

Speaking of fables,
Like the tortoise and the hare,
The slow one beats the fast,
Because he was debonair.

And the animals that talk,
Can teach us a lesson,
Telling a tale,
That's worth the recognition.

Aesop was smart,
With a moral to it all,
He told of the stuff,
That time will recall.

From 620 to 560 B.C.
This ancient Greek man,
Was a writer to be.
