The Story of Egypt
The pyramids of Egypt, Like silent, sitting triangles, But who really built them? Near the longest river The Nile? The kings and the queens, They lived the privileged life, Knowing not of any work, Or even any strife. To become a mummy, Is a way that will preserve, They wrap you all up, And you're off to the next world. Built to last, And the structures still stand up, So long has passed, Made rugged, strong, and tough. They had the gods, That had the power, Devoted to them, Hour after hour. And even though, This ancient culture is gone, We still have the pictures, And all the icons.
